00:04According to the City Health Department,
00:07this is due to the increasing number of people infected with dengue.
00:12According to the monitoring of the Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance Division,
00:17more than 1,700 cases of dengue have been reported in the city.
00:23From the said figure, 58% are children aged 5 to 17 years of age.
00:30And 44% are children aged 1 to 10 years of age.
00:35Ten have been reported dead, eight of whom are children.
00:40That is why the Mayor of the city called on its residents
00:44to immediately see a doctor if they have symptoms of dengue.
00:49Mayor Joy Belmonte also said
00:52that in order to address the late diagnosis of dengue,
00:55more than 60 health centers in the city are open every Saturday and Sunday
