00:00It's unknown to what division they're going to be in. In terms of promotion hopes, the
00:07race for promotion, it seems like they're getting a little bit of a gap in terms of
00:11the top three and the rest. Where do you stand in terms of this running? If you go onto any
00:17sort of football app at the moment, it's sort of one scroll and you are at the very bottom
00:20of the season already. It's going very fast and Rexham are making sure they are there
00:26or thereabouts. What can you see from the remainder of this season? It's going to be
00:30a really interesting one because a lot of the big teams still have to play each other
00:34again. Rexham have got to go away to Wickham. They've now played Birmingham home and away.
00:39They've got Huddersfield away coming up as well. That's the concern I think from a Rexham
00:44point of view is that of the top four, they are one of themselves, they've got to play
00:49two of them away from home. They've got Bolton at home at the start of March, which again
00:53is going to be a very difficult test, very interesting one. Rexham are notoriously not
00:56as good on the road either. You'd expect Rexham to win most of their home games the remainder
01:01of the season, so that's got to put them in a good position. But I think right now, Rexham,
01:08you would say would probably be your strong favourites to finish third. I still don't
01:13think they've maybe got quite enough to overhaul both Huddersfield and Wickham and sort of
01:18see out second place, but you never know. You really don't know because Rexham's home
01:22form is so good and if they just improve a little bit away from home, that should be
01:25enough. But it also relies on that freakish home form that is kind of unsustainable, even
01:30though they do sustain it. So I'd still say Rexham are best of the sort of the playoff
01:36teams at the moment. I personally would say I expect Rexham to finish third or fourth,
01:40go into the playoffs and then, I mean, there is no calling that when that happens. So I
01:46think that's the situation Rexham are in. I think they're quite comfortable with that.
01:49Again, it's very difficult to be rational as a Rexham fan because at the start of the
01:54season, we would all have taken mid-table. Lots of people were just taking survival in
01:57League One, first time back in 20 years. You're not going to get too greedy. And now we're
02:02on course for a potential promotion to the championship and that means that next season
02:06you could finish in your highest ever league position as a football club. So it's very
02:13difficult to stay grounded. But I think at the moment, playoffs are basically a certainty
02:18I think for Rexham this season and anything else is a bonus. And I think everyone's quite
02:22content with that, even if the sort of pressure from the outside world is if they don't get
02:26promoted, it'd be a failure. It won't be regarded as that whatsoever. I think that will come
02:30in the summer once the owners know what league they're in. Because again, if Rexham go to
02:35the championship, you've got to give it your best shot of staying up. And that might be
02:40by just throwing all that short-term experience again. Or if you stay in League One, then
02:44maybe you can say, look, we've been so close to promotion already. Now we can take our
02:48time. Now we can build. Now we know what we need to get up. So I think it's a change
02:51that will happen eventually. I just don't think it will happen until we know what division
02:56Rexham are in next season.
