00:00The Department of Agriculture, D.A., plans to impose a maximum suggested retail price, or MSRP,

00:05for each type of imported rice upon the implementation of new labeling regulations.

00:10Agricultural Secretary Francisco Tularel, Jr. provided examples

00:14of potential MSRPs for the new labeling rules. The Agriculture Chief said that this move aims

00:20to reduce the MSRP of 5 percent broken imported rice, which is currently set at 55 pesos per

00:26kilogram to 52 pesos per kilo by February 15 and further to 49 pesos per kilo by March 1, 2025.

00:56For MSRP of 5 percent broken, I hope it will be at 25. Let's say MSRP of 25 percent broken is at P41.42.

01:12For 100 percent broken, maybe MSRP 38.
