We ask Londoners about energy bills and grocery prices.

00:00I think I'm cautious with how much energy I consume because of the bill price.

00:05So if it goes up, maybe it'll make me just like more of a saver, which I guess in the

00:08long run is good for the environment.

00:12I think the solution is price controls implemented from the top down by the government.

00:17I think in the long term, I would love to see like a state, like a sort of state grocery

00:23provision of some kind, like, hey, these are state owned nationalized companies whose job

00:27is to provide standard, standardized, like basic groceries at a certain price, which

00:32is locked or whatever.

00:33A lot of people in the middle class that can't even afford like groceries.

00:36So energy alone is just something that people need just to stay warm or have lights in their

00:40house.

00:41So that's not really a great thing for the working class to have to deal with that as

00:44well.

00:45I don't know what you think.

00:46I feel like I agree.

00:47Electricity is definitely like, I guess, I guess it would be a necessity.

00:51Yeah.

00:52And so for companies that already make seemingly like more money than they know what to do

00:56with, seems kind of unnecessary, you know.
