U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated his plan to "buy and own" Gaza, proposing redevelopment while suggesting relocation for Palestinians. The plan prompted global backlash, including accusations of ethnic cleansing.

00:04As far as us rebuilding it, we may give it to other states in the Middle East to build

00:11Other people may do it through our auspices.

00:14But we're committed to owning it, taking it, and making sure that Hamas doesn't move back.

00:20There's nothing to move back into.

00:22The place is a demolition site.

00:25It'll be, the remainder will be demolished.

00:30Everything's demolished.

00:31I mean, you can't live in those buildings right now, they're very unsafe.

00:34But we'll make it into a very good site for future development by somebody.

00:40We'll let other countries develop parts of it, it'll be beautiful.

00:43People can come from all over the world and live there.

00:46But we're going to take care of the Palestinians, we're going to make sure they live beautifully

00:50and in harmony and in peace, and that they're not murdered.

00:53This has been the most dangerous site anywhere in the world to live in.
