00:00Department of Transportation or DOT our secretary Jaime Bautista assured that the EDSA busway will

00:05not be removed despite earlier discussions about potentially making space for private vehicles.

00:11He confirmed the dedicated bus lane will be improved with the help of private sector

00:15involvement in its operations and management. Bautista also stated that a feasibility study

00:20for privatization will be completed soon aiming for expansion by the end of 2026.

00:26He also clarified that the EDSA busway and the MRT3

00:29rail line serve different commuter needs with the busway covering a broader area.
