00:15It's just five days before Christmas.

00:18Here at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange,

00:21passengers will continue to board the PITX.

00:25Vacation grande na! The long wait is over!

00:29After a whole year of hard work,

00:32this is the time our countrymen have been waiting for.

00:36This is the right time to go to the provinces

00:39and relax and celebrate Christmas and New Year with the whole family.

00:45Here at the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange,

00:47more and more passengers are boarding.

00:52Most of them will celebrate Christmas and New Year in their respective provinces.

00:56Many of our countrymen have already boarded the PITX early in the morning.

01:02They don't want to follow the long wait of the passengers later in the day or night.

01:08Some of us also know that they prefer to take the bus

01:12compared to other modes of transportation

01:14because even if the trip is long,

01:16they enjoy the nature view more.

01:20The security of the police is still tight here.

01:22All who enter the terminal must check their luggage.

01:26Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board or LTFRB

01:32has approved more than 915 special permits for PUVs.

01:37Special permits are allowed to have different routes.

01:41This is different from their original route.

01:45It is expected to increase the number of vehicles

01:47especially in crowded places with many passengers.

01:51Most of the permits have been approved for buses.

01:54It will start today until January 10, 2025.

01:58As you can see behind me,

02:00there is a long line of passengers boarding the PITX.

02:05As of 11am this morning,

02:08the number of passengers boarding the PITX has reached 69,599.

02:14They are also reminding the passengers

02:16not to bring any harmful materials

02:20because once you enter the terminal,

02:22the security guards will take it away.

02:25Another good news,

02:27because the security here is full force,

02:29many police officers are watching the whole PITX.
