00:00The National Food Authority, NFA, in Eastern Visayas has approved a sufficient supply of rice

00:06in accordance with the declaration of the Food Emergency for Rights.

00:10Up to 1,000 sacks of rice will be sold at a lower price to the LGUs.

00:23The National Food Authority in Eastern Visayas is working hard

00:27to meet the supply of rice in accordance with the Food Emergency for Rights.

00:34According to NFA Regional Manager May Sara Sabare,

00:38up to 71,000 sacks of rice will be sold at a lower price to the LGUs in Leyte, Southern Leyte and Northern Samar.

00:49We have been preparing for this since February 15.

00:54Hopefully, we will be able to start in the weekend.

00:57Initially, there was a request but it has not been confirmed as of now.

01:01Under the Food Security Emergency for Rights,

01:04NFA will sell rice to the LGUs at a price of P36 to P38 per kilo.

01:13Meanwhile, some rice consumers are happy with the lower price of rice.

01:18According to them, this is a big help to their families,

01:22especially since there are some LGUs who are willing to increase the price.

01:27Yesterday, the rice was sold out.

01:31Sometimes, the rice is sold out.

01:34But it's okay, we can still sell it.
