00:00I also do believe, Joe, as we show the NBA championship odds, today is an important pin day,

00:06if you will, to flag these odds, to pay attention to these odds, to put a pin in these odds,

00:12to use it as a date to see where the market moves in the second half of this season.

00:18And that's where we are, just a few weeks away from NBA All-Star Weekend. I believe just two

00:25weeks away from NBA All-Star Weekend, to note where these odds right now. Maybe you're starting

00:31to pay more attention to the NBA, basketball in general, but the football season winds down to

00:37its final game of the year on Sunday evening. We are not at 40 or 42 games, even near the

00:45midway point. Most teams have played 48, 49, 50, 50 plus games at this moment. There's only about

00:5230 plus games remaining in this regular season. To make that playoff charge, to be in the top six

00:58in a conference, to not have to deal with the play-in tournament, to be a top four seed, to host

01:04the opening round of the postseason. And maybe you are on the outside looking in, just trying to get

01:10to the play-in tournament, to have an opportunity to win a game or two, to see the NBA postseason.

01:17These are very important odds to note at this moment, but Joe, the story still, despite the

01:23flurry of blockbuster moves we have seen this week, is the Celtics and the Thunder remain at the top

01:29by themselves with the Cavaliers and 41 wins, still having the best mark in all the NBA.

01:36Yeah, and listen, nothing changes for me as far as the teams who I think are truly capable

01:44of putting a run together and winning this. All the rest of the teams that we have seen

01:49make some moves here and try to add pieces or, you know, they're public favorites right now.

01:58I mean, the Lakers at 15-1 is quite laughable at this point, given what they've added,

02:04without any indication that any of it is going to work together. Man, that's the funny part,

02:09is that, you know, a 40-year-old LeBron James and a 25-year-old Donchik who can't seem to stay

02:15in shape long enough to get anything done, now you add in a new center and miraculously this

02:19is just supposed to work with limited games remaining. It's just not how it works here.

02:24I think teams like the Knicks, the Nuggets, the Grizzlies, they are very much, if you're

02:30looking for a dark horse or a big number, those teams to me seem much more viable than any of

02:36these teams that are just throwing one last-ditch effort to try and make it happen.
