It was a gambit, it was a gambit, it paid off.
00:03
It did, it did.
00:04
My name is Susie McCabe and I am a stand-up comedian, writer and podcaster.
00:09
Hi, I'm Chris McArthur-Boyd and I do that stuff as well.
00:12
Me, Christopher and Frankie Boyle do a podcast called Here Comes The Guillotine
00:17
and we decided to jump on the live podcast bandwagon and sell our souls.
00:24
I thought, you know what, if I was like Ambo can do it, I can do it.
00:27
If a man who's sexed up a dossier, allegedly, can do it, I think me, Christopher and Frankie can do it.
00:34
And it turns out, so do our listeners because they've bought tickets.
00:37
Yeah.
00:38
You can commit some war crimes, we can commit some war crimes, you know.
00:42
This is true, this is true and we probably will at some point on that podcast.
00:46
Yeah, so we decided to do that and I'm really looking forward to it
00:50
because the podcast, we don't really have a structure.
00:54
We don't go in, we don't have pre-prepared topics, it's not topical or anything like that.
00:58
And people seem to really like that.
01:00
It's essentially just three people sitting around a table having a chat who are pals.
01:04
So it could be you and your two mates in the pub and I think doing that live will be incredibly funny
01:13
and maybe a bit of audience interaction.
01:15
Maybe.
01:16
Maybe.
01:17
Maybe, maybe not, maybe not.
01:18
I'm all in for them.
01:19
No, I'm up for it, yeah, yeah.
01:20
I think Christopher should do a split.
01:22
Heavily moderated audience interaction.
01:25
Yeah, not moderated by us, not moderated by us.
01:28
So yeah, it'll be good fun.
01:30
I think we're like three different generations basically.
01:35
Yes.
01:36
You're in your early 40s.
01:37
Mid now, mid now mate, 45 I turned the other week.
01:40
Don't describe yourself as mid.
01:41
But you're in your mid 40s, I'm in my early 30s, Frankie's in his early 50s.
01:47
Yes.
01:48
And so we're kind of like three different generations.
01:51
Which brings its own humour as well, doesn't it?
01:53
Because sometimes we'll be having a conversation and you will see the absolute generational difference
02:00
and it's very funny.
02:02
It's normally between Christopher and Frankie, it makes me laugh a lot.
02:05
Me and Frankie, what was it Frankie's son said?
02:08
He was like, it's good because Frankie and me know about the X-Men
02:13
and you and Frankie know about...
02:17
We know about the 1980s and the 1970s.
02:20
And the events.
02:21
And the troubles.
02:22
We're generally quite current affairs, not current affairs but kind of political in history and stuff like that.
02:28
You and Frankie are Lord of the Rings.
02:30
Sure.
02:31
And then the thing with Christopher is he was made for podcasting.
02:34
He was made for it because he just says the most random stuff.
02:37
Talk nonsense.
02:38
There are times where me and Frankie will just look at each other and go, what is he talking about?
02:45
But there are also times where, for example, Christopher was talking about manscaping.
02:50
Sure.
02:51
Very much shocked Frankie.
02:53
A man who was born in the 70s.
02:56
It's a nice thing.
02:58
But now it's coming back.
02:59
It's a big thing.
03:00
Now manscaping's...
