Final stretch of the presidential elections in Ecuador begins

The campaign began last January 5 and will officially conclude on February 6, when Ecuadorians will have 72 hours of electoral silence. Elections will be held on February 9 and will close, according to the National Electoral Council (CNE), on February 10, after the general scrutiny. In case there is a runoff election, it will take place on April 13.
