00:00The National Security Council, or NSC, lauded the National Bureau of Investigation, or NBI,
00:05and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, or AFP, for arresting five Chinese nationals
00:10allegedly involved in espionage. According to the NSC, before authorities arrested the said
00:15suspects, surveillance operations were conducted following the previous arrest of a Chinese
00:21national. National Security Advisor Eduardo Año expressed concern as the suspect's activities
00:27were conducted near an area where rotation and resupply missions in Ulugan Bay and the
00:32naval detachment Oyster Bay in Palawan were taking place. He also added that suspects were
00:37arrested due to their spying activities and to show that government is serious in preventing
00:42acts that would compromise our national security.
