00:00The Department of Information and Communications Technology, DICT,

00:05is promoting their programs last year and their plans for 2025.

00:12In an interview with the program Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon,

00:15to Secretary Ivan Jan Uy, he said that they are also promoting the so-called Cyber Hygiene.

00:21For the first time in their history, they are promoting the Philippines.

00:28And they showed the whole world what the Philippines is doing right,

00:36that it needs to be a role model of other countries in discussing cyber security and cyber crime.

00:45So, this is what we are pushing, cyber hygiene.

00:50What is cyber hygiene?

00:52We need to learn to be more careful in our online transactions.

01:00What age should we learn cyber hygiene?

01:04What I explained there is that when a child uses a mobile phone and connects to the internet,

01:13at that age, cyber hygiene should be taught.

01:17Because cyber hygiene is not a technical skill, this is a life skill.

01:23This is like teaching your children that they need to wash their hands before they eat.
