00:00The approval of the first parliamentary elections was notified as urgent by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

00:09Yesterday, the so-called approval was also approved in the Senate Plenary.

00:19The Senate Bill No. 2942 was approved in the second reading of the Senate.

00:24The bill will reset the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao parliamentary elections.

00:31According to Senator J.V. Ejercito, the postponement is five months.

00:36According to the confirmation of his office, the elections in BARMM will be held on October 13, 2025

00:42if the bill is to be continued to be approved.

00:45That's why we pushed for a postponement because there are still issues that need to be resolved.

00:57That's why we were hoping that with this amount of time, we can resolve those issues.
