00:00The Department of Agriculture is now planning the declaration of the National Food Security Emergency

00:05that was targeted on the first week of February.

00:08The target is to lower the price of rice and to reduce the supply of NFA.

00:19The target to produce 20.4 million metric tons of rice this year, according to the Department of Agriculture,

00:25is a big help to the Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund in increasing the production of rice

00:29that is expected to start this year.

00:32The agency is also planning the declaration of the National Food Security Emergency

00:36that is targeted to lower the price of rice and to reduce the supply of NFA.

00:40The Department of Trade and Industry in Camara said

00:43that the National Price Coordinating Council's resolution has been approved in principle.

00:47In two working days, possibly, they will be able to issue the resolution.

00:54What they mean is that the NPCC Secretariat was signed by the member agency again in two working days.

01:19The NFA can buy rice from Kandiwa Centers, local government offices, and other government agencies.

01:26The DA will also restrict the 58 pesos maximum suggested retail price of rice for the next week.

01:38because some rice will be cut that needs to be sold to the old stocks of rice

01:43and they will follow the implementation of the MSRP.

01:46Meanwhile, the DA is also targeting the questionable increase in the price of pork

01:51where the retail price reached 400 pesos per kilo.

01:55Now, the farm gate price is only playing at 220 to 240.
