00:00Two important projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways in Marinduque have been completed.

00:06First is the construction of a flood mitigation structure in the town of Torijos.

00:11According to DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan,

00:14the construction of the so-called revetment wall is a big help to reduce the flooding

00:19that leaves a lot of residue in residential areas

00:23that affects the livelihood of the residents of the area.

00:26A farm-to-market road has also been completed in the barangay of San Antonio in the town of Santa Cruz

00:32that will strengthen the road access of local farmers

00:35for the faster transportation of local products to their families.

00:41The two projects will be beneficial to the communities of the two towns

00:46and are expected to contribute to the economy of Marinduque.
