00:00The Department of Public Works and Highways has now completed the flood mitigation structure

00:04in the Bahuang River in Tabangawen, Trinidad, and Benguet.

00:08It is a long structure that will reduce the effect of high water levels in the river.

00:15According to the DPWH, the project was created to safeguard agricultural areas and infrastructure

00:22near the riverbank.

00:24As part of the project, a 712-meter preventment wall will be built

00:30on a 266-meter stone masonry structure

00:33and 52-meter rubble of concrete gravity wall

00:37to protect the nearby community from flood damage.
