00:00Welcome everyone to our Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony and a very special welcome in particular

00:07to our 49 people becoming Australian citizens today.

00:11They come from Bangladesh, Croatia, England, Germany, India, Chiwet, Nepal, New Zealand,

00:23Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, United States, Thailand and Vietnam.

00:39Please repeat after me either by oath or affirmation.

00:44From this time forward under God,

00:47I pledge my loyalty to Australia and its people,

00:58whose democratic beliefs I share,

01:03whose rights and liberties I respect,

01:08and whose laws I will uphold and obey.

01:15As a citizen of Australia, you are now formally identified with this country, its people and its governments.

01:23The basic right of all Australian citizens is equality before the law.

01:28Australia's future success depends on the way we work together.
