00:00The printing of ballots for the 2025 national and local elections has been delayed once again
00:05due to the changes in the list of candidates. The latest setback comes after Francis Leo Marcos
00:12withdrew his candidacy, requiring adjustments to the ballot. The Commission on Elections
00:16Sir Kamalek addressed concerns over disqualified or nuanced candidates, stating that they are bound
00:22by the law and must include all valid candidates. Additionally, there were issues with candidate
00:27numbers, including a mistake in Senator Bong Revilla's name, which the Kamalek clarified
00:32was already resolved back in the courts in 2009. Despite the delays, the Kamalek confirmed
00:38that mock elections will proceed as scheduled using sample ballots.
00:43We did not receive any notice that someone wants to withdraw or refuse to run.
00:49So far, maybe only yesterday was the last, at least a national candidate. We will resume the
00:55printing of the ballots by Monday at all costs. We have been delayed for three weeks.
