00:00The government has also increased the number of jobs for Filipinos.

00:04This was followed by the biggest job event, CareerCon 2025,

00:09where 5,000 jobs were awarded by the DOLE.

00:49The Department of Labor and Employment

00:52and a job-finding platform awarded 5,000 jobs to CareerCon 2025.

00:58This is one of the biggest job fairs this year.

01:02150 employers participated,

01:05and 18,000 applicants registered.

01:09The job fair's goal is to bring jobs closer to Filipinos

01:13and reduce the number of Filipinos without a job.

01:16At least, you don't have to go to every company,

01:22you don't have to submit resumes or interviews,

01:27because it's also an expense, especially if you go to different companies.

01:31Here, it's just one trip.

01:32The number of non-employed Filipinos is decreasing,

01:37but we're not done yet.

01:39Whatever job they hold,

01:43it should be a quality job

01:47that has potential to be promoted.

01:53Most of the jobs here are in Information and Technology,

01:57Hotel and Restaurant, and Healthcare Industry.

02:04This is where Krystal is looking for a job.

02:06My current job is an admin.

02:08It's far from the course that I finished, which is tourism.

02:12So, I want to do a career shift.

02:15According to Dolly, aside from entry-level jobs,

02:19there are vacancies for senior roles

02:22that have a high salary.

02:24The agency hopes that many former POGO workers will apply.

02:29The government is really working hard

02:33to close their companies.
