00:00The schedule of reprinting of the 2025 national and local election ballots tomorrow will be
00:06delayed for another two to three days.
00:09This after the Supreme Court issued another Temporary Restraining Order, or TRO, commanding
00:14COMELEC to include two additional names of candidates.
00:17One of them is Senatorial candidate Francis Leo Marcos, who was declared as a nuisance
00:22candidate last November, and Noel Rosal, running as governor in Albay, but was disqualified
00:28by the COMELEC.
00:30The COMELEC said, though this is another delay in their preparations, it will be easier for
00:35them to include the names of Marcos and Rosal in their database because they have fixed
00:40the system, allowing for this feature COMELEC's target is to reprint the ballots on Friday.
00:49But then it did remind the COMELEC, in the case of Marcos, the case decided earlier that
01:00the COMELEC should also be aware that in disqualifying candidates, there is a big chance that these
01:06candidates are going to be bringing the issue before the Supreme Court and that the Supreme
01:11Court would need time to actually resolve their cases.
01:15And it's really up to the COMELEC how they will implement the orders.
01:19Ngayon po hindi pa naman kami nag-i-imprintan ng balota, and therefore kung sakali magkakaroon
01:24po ng pagbabago muli, then we will comply definitely, wholeheartedly, we will comply
01:29with the directive of the Supreme Court.
