Tamworth showcasing all country music has to offer

Country music may be synonymous with sad songs, but for many artists, performing at the Tamworth country music festival it brings nothing but joy. And beneath the boots and the bling there can also be stories of resilience.

00:00For Amy Hannan, music is everything.

00:09But making her mark on the industry hasn't always been easy.

00:20Amy has Parkes-Weber syndrome, a rare, life-threatening condition.

00:25In her early 20s, Amy underwent a leg amputation to save her life.

00:37Amy's been visiting the festival since the age of 12.

00:45And she now calls Tamworth home.

01:14Her fan favourite is a very young brother and sister duo known as the Curry Mob.

01:24Michaela and Mick Curry lost their home in 2021 when Typhoon Odette swept through the

01:31Philippines.

01:32They then moved to Australia alongside their parents.

01:48On the road to a lifelong love of country.
