00:20President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. assured the Department of Budget and Management
00:25that the funds are sufficient for the legacy projects and programs affected by the adjustments or changes to the 2025 General Appropriations Act of the Congress.
00:35If you remember, just this month, President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. ordered the various government agencies
00:41to review and collect the programs or projects that are priority and ready to be implemented.
00:47Also included are those that need to be revisited for possible savings to be reprogrammed or reprioritized.
00:54According to the DBM, they are ready to remedy the funding deficiencies of the Departments for the fiscal year 2025.
01:02Through the modifications of the allotment, the use of savings to augment deficient items,
01:08or the use of contingent funds, or program appropriations, and others.
01:12First, according to the DBM, the available allotments within the budget of the agency can be declared as savings.
01:20Second, the contingent fund can be topped to cover the funding requirements of new or urgent projects.
01:27And lastly, according to the DBM, the infrastructure programs and social programs under the SAGIP program can be covered by the program appropriations.
01:37Again, the Budget Department gave the day to President Marquez to resolve the validated funding deficiencies.
01:44Now, the agency said that they understood that the process must comply with the laws related to budgeting, accounting, and auditing.
