00:00It's the last day for the foreign POGO workers who left the country
00:04following the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:07to ban the operation of POGO in the Philippines.
00:10There is no longer an extension of the deadline for these
00:13according to the Bureau of Immigration or B.I.
00:16Most of the foreigners who work as POGO workers have already left the country
00:21so the agency continued to urge them to follow the new policy.
00:26And if they still want to work in the country,
00:29they can apply for a visa here.
00:32According to B.I.,
00:34from P33,000 to P26,000 to P28,000
00:40have already downgraded their visas.
00:42While for those who will remain in the Philippines after the deadline,
00:46they can already be deported.
00:49At the beginning of the new year,
00:50B.I. agreed to chase the foreign nationals
00:54who are part of the small operation of POGO in the country.
01:00The Department of Budget and Management or DBM clarified
01:03that the foreign nationals will not be affected
01:05by the projects and the national budget
01:07passed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. for 2025.
01:11According to DBM Undersecretary Goddess Hope Libiran,
01:15which is part of the National Expenditure Program,
01:17the agencies themselves said that the foreign nationals
01:21are not yet ready for the implementation of the projects,
01:23particularly in the Department of Public Works and Highways or DPWH.
01:26Libiran explained that
01:28it went through a thorough study with the implementing agencies
01:32to ensure that the funding for the next year is properly allocated.
01:36Aside from the statements of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.,
01:39Libiran also explained some programs
01:41such as ACAP from the DSWD
01:44that was included in the Conditional Implementation.
01:46He said that it is to ensure
01:47that it will benefit the real needs of our countrymen
01:51and not to be used for other propaganda in politics.
01:54According to DBM,
01:55the priority of the National Budget 2025
01:59is the sector of education, infrastructure,
02:01social services, health and agriculture.
02:06Most of the items mentioned here
02:09are not included in the proposed President's Budget,
02:14what we call the National Expenditure Program,
02:17where the proposed projects,
02:20infrastructure projects of the implementing agencies
02:24like DPWH or MMDA.
02:26Now, those projects that are not included in the NEP
02:32were considered to be implementation-ready,
02:36those that are not yet implemented,
02:40and those that are ambiguous.
02:41So those projects that are not yet implementation-ready
02:44or ambiguous projects,
02:45those were removed.
