Everton searching for new faces this window

David Moyes has been clear that recruitment is needed.

00:00Looking at Everton and David Moyes coming in, in terms of the transfer situation, obviously

00:07a bit of an interesting one, changing manager halfway through the month almost. What's your

00:13take on the current transfer situation? Are fans expecting any business in or out? We've

00:19mentioned a few times positions that might have been filled, but that performance against

00:23Spurs at home was absolutely fantastic, so it's sort of cut those worries out maybe for

00:28fans for now, for the time being. But obviously a big run in left, they are still just hovering

00:34above the relegation zone. They need to make sure that they continue this little run and

00:39don't sort of fall back towards the bottom three.

00:42Yeah, definitely. And David Moyes says after the Tottenham game for his goals to win, whilst

00:48he wasn't getting carried away, he still knows that Everton need players through the door

00:52because Stilton scored 18 league goals in 21 games, and that's the second fewest behind,

00:59and I mean just in front of Southampton who are obviously in deep, deep trouble. A lot

01:07of supporters still want to see intact improvements. You know, Armando Broish is now out for three

01:13months, Yusef Chimithy's absence as well, so that leaves two strikers. Dominic Calvert-Lewin

01:18scored a great goal against Tottenham, but it was his first since September. As well

01:24as Jesper Lindström is against Tottenham, he still hasn't been absolutely consistent

01:31since he arrived in the midfield. Is there enough goals in there? Is there enough threat

01:36from the full-backs? So it's an interesting one because we speak to less than two weeks

01:41now, and David Moyes has said that Everton need players, elite players from the elite

01:48stadium that they're moving to, but they also need recruits coming in who are going to make

01:53an instant impact. Moyes' command said they like Ernest Neumar at Lyon, but he's off the

02:01profile of a development side and he couldn't come in and go right. You're our new right

02:06winger, we're expecting five goals and five assists from you in the second half of the

02:10season. It wouldn't be fair on the lads to start with, and you can't get a guarantee.

02:16It's a difficult market Everton are working in. They have got some wiggle room with the

02:20PSR, but what sort of players do they sign? Do they want development ones? Do they want

02:26younger players who will give their all? I think if Everton sign, there's going to be

02:32one fault to them, whether that's if it's a younger player, whether it's an older player,

02:39maybe has a couple of injuries in the past, or maybe has a bit of an attitude problem

02:44in the past per se. So it's not straightforward, and I think David Moyes and the recruitment

02:51team have got to weigh everything up when it comes to who they're bringing in and decide

02:57what would be best. But yeah, the attacking players need us, maybe in midfield and the

03:01full-back area, the left-back area is somewhere they could look at.
