A big statement as they hope to see Grealish return to his former best.

00:00Yeah, obviously, confirming a loan option for Jack Grealish, I mean, that's something
00:06that sort of no one really saw coming. Grealish obviously wants minutes. He wants to find
00:11that sort of Jack Grealish before he signed for Manchester City and was sort of halted
00:16a little bit. I mean, he made no sort of bones about it. He was an amazing winger at the
00:21time, sort of taking players on, curling them into the top corner. Do you feel he could
00:26find that at Everton? I mean, what's the pull there as well? Because David Moyes is clearly
00:29a manager who has all this experience. Do you think he played a big role in this?
00:33Obviously, the new stadium, this new sort of era for Everton. I'm sure Jack Grealish would
00:38have taken all of that into account and thought this could be the right place to go and thrive.
00:43Yeah, I don't think Jack Grealish would have been short of options. Napoli were linked
00:50with him and, you know, he could have moved to the Serie A champions, but instead he's opted
00:55for Everton, I dare say that David Moyes has promised Jack Grealish that he will be the talisman
01:03in the team. Because David Moyes likes players like that. He likes players with a little bit
01:11of swashbuckle about them, a little bit of stardust. And I would say that that's what Jack
01:18Grealish has promised. It wouldn't surprise me if he plays in a number 10 position rather
01:24than out-wise, because Everton have got Hilleman and Zion. And Dwight McNeil, who can play left.
01:31There might be some games where he does play left, but maybe that has appealed to Jack Grealish.
01:36He can go and play in the number 10 where he can get on the ball consistently and make things
01:41happen. I think that playing a new stadium, a new era would have appealed. Look, maybe geographically
01:51as well it's appealed as well. Jack Grealish being in the North West, maybe he didn't want to move
01:56countries or move to another part of England. But that's to Everton's advantage as well, and Everton
02:02are paying a significant, significant fee over the year for the loan deal in terms of his wages
02:09to land Jack Grealish. Look, it's exciting. I can understand why some fans thought, well,
02:16do we need Jack Grealish with and die, something like that, with Dewsby Hall? Do they need to
02:22get a player like that whenever they're crying out for pace on the right wing? Do they haven't
02:26got an out-and-out right winger? But this is a player, as you say, who was magnificent for
02:33Aston Villa, who was a key part of Man City's treble winning side as well. And I'll forget,
02:39I know it's been difficult the last two years for him, but when Man City won the treble, he
02:44was one of the main players. He's been important for England in the past. He'll have designs
02:50on breaking back into the England squad for the World Cup in 2026. And to do that, he
02:57needs to be playing week in, week out, because that's what Thomas Tuchel will be looking at.
03:01They'll be watching England's already with Jordan Pickford and Goal, with Jarrod Bramford,
03:07where he's hoping to win a spot as well in the England side. And Jack Grealish will know
03:12that he'll have a good chance to really get himself back in the mix there. So yeah, it'd
03:20be interesting to see how David Moyes deploy isn't, but I suspect it might be in that number
03:25of the same position where he can really go and express himself.
