00:05Part of keeping it that way means we use helicopters

00:08to conduct inspections across the ACT and surrounding region.

00:12They allow us to cover vast areas to ensure that trees and vegetation

00:16are kept clear of power lines and to mitigate bushfires.

00:20The helicopter is equipped with technology called LIDAR.

00:23It stands for Light Detection and Ranging

00:26and is a remote sensing method that uses light in the form of a pulse laser

00:30to help generate precise three-dimensional information

00:33about the shape of the earth and its surface characteristics.

00:37So when you see our helicopter in the air,

00:39you'll know that it's all part of EvoEnergy's maintenance program

00:42to help keep our network reliable and safe.
