00:00In the middle of the talks between China and the Philippines last week,
00:04the ship of China that returned to their monster ship is still inside our Exclusive Economic Zone.
00:13It was radioed by PCG.
00:16But China answered.
00:18J.P. Soriano was on the spot.
00:20This morning, 60 nautical miles from the coastline of Capone, Zambales,
00:30another giant ship of the China Coast Guard, the CCG Vessel 3304,
00:37returned to the position of the China monster ship, CCG Vessel 5901,
00:43which has been circling around the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Philippines for more than two weeks.
00:50According to the Philippine Coast Guard, until 10 a.m. this morning,
00:54the China monster ship was monitored as it was moving around the coastal area of Capone, Zambales
01:00and approaching the direction of Bajo de Macinloc or Scarborough Shoal,
01:05which is still a part of the EEZ of the Philippines.
01:09Earlier, PCG again radioed the returned CCG Vessel 3304.
01:14You do not possess any legal authority to patrol inside the Philippines' Exclusive Economic Zone.
01:22You are directed to depart immediately.
01:24The China Coast Guard immediately answered.
01:27Your so-called award for the South China Sea arbitration is illegal and invalid.
01:34China neither accepts nor recognizes it.
01:38In 2016, the UN Arbitral Tribunal trashed China's acquisition of almost the entire West Philippine Sea,
01:46including Bajo de Macinloc, which is considered by the government of the Philippines
01:51as a part of the territory of the country and is inside the Exclusive Economic Zone or EEZ of the Philippines.
01:58China has been holding its ground for more than two weeks
02:01and does not want to stop patrolling the Philippine Ocean.
02:06They are slowly moving.
02:08Sometimes they have a speed of two knots, sometimes four knots.
02:13So they are not just floating in one place.
02:17They are moving.
02:18That's obviously illegal.
02:20Again, they are not exercising freedom of navigation in our Exclusive Economic Zone.
02:26Even though the Department of Foreign Affairs has already brought this issue to the officials of China
02:33in the bilateral consultation mechanism or BCM of China and the Philippines last Thursday.
02:40As far as the Coast Guard is concerned, this is the most effective thing we are doing now.
02:46We are not increasing tensions.
02:49We are not fighting.
02:52And we are continuing to defend that the West Philippine Sea,
02:56the work of our Exclusive Economic Zone in the construction of the EEZ is ours
03:04and there is no reason for China to patrol.
03:07While the China Coast Guard is defending their right to patrol the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Philippines,
03:14the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the United States Indo-Pacific Command or US Indo-PACOM
03:20conducted the first maritime cooperative activity or MCA for this year
03:27in a part of the West Philippine Sea in Palawan.
03:31China also announced that they are also conducting a multiple combat readiness patrol
03:37around Scarborough Shoal or Bajo de Masinloc.
