00:00No, it's okay.
00:01I was pitching a movie to Star Cinema.
00:03I went to Star Cinema to pitch a film.
00:05And then, they timed it so that they would pitch it to me.
00:11They said that's the deal.
00:13I would pitch it to them, and they would pitch it to me.
00:17They actually liked the film that I pitched.
00:19Yes.
00:20So, that's one.
00:22And then, I listened to them.
00:24They pitched a movie, and then this series, Lavender Fields.
00:28I was like, okay.
00:29Who's going to be there at that time?
00:32I had no idea who the cast would be.
00:34It was Jody, and then Janine, and then Jelena's name came after.
00:40And then, of course, Tito Edu, Miss Maricel, and then Albert Martinez,
00:46and then Miss Lotlot de Leon was going to be there.
00:49I was like, oh, this is like super great casting.
00:51This is okay.
00:52So, you have two options.
00:53Because they know that I don't want to be in a TV series.
00:56Because I feel like I'm already a graduate.
00:59And my plan was to do a lot of, like, come back to be in films.
01:03So, they said, you have bookends.
01:06Two weeks here, and two weeks there.
01:09I was like, okay.
01:10What's going to be my role?
01:11You're the one who's going to mess everything up.
01:13I was like, yeah, I like that.
01:15And then, as I read the script,
01:17and then, I thought about the story.
01:21Two weeks before actual photography of the project,
01:25I called up and I told my management.
01:27I said, tell them that I want to do the whole thing.
01:30The whole show.
01:31Because I really want to, you know,
01:33I'm going to be beaten here.
01:34If I'm going to do this, might as well do the whole thing.
01:39Let's just move the shooting schedule of the other things we're going to do.
01:43So, that's it.
01:44And then, the rest is this.
01:46This journey that they talked about.
01:48I did not regret, you know, a single bit.
01:52And I was just super, super, super, super happy with Tyrone.
01:58I want them to remember this show as Jodie's first,
02:02you know, offbeat kind of role.
02:06Janine's first unexpected contrabita role, right?
02:10My first red flag role, right?
02:14Jolene's first super dramatic, you know.
02:17I wanted to remember also that this is a show that had,
02:21you know, great casting.
02:24Were there moments during the taping
02:27that you were challenged because you were just so happy
02:30and the scenes were intense?
02:33I'm always happy on the set.
02:37I'm such a joy to work with.
02:39I'm always happy on the set.
02:41That's me.
02:42If I'm not having fun on the set, then that's the end.
02:45So, I'm either gonna ask people
02:49that there's a character or something,
02:51maybe if I'm not having fun,
02:52I'm just really, very, very happy.
02:53That never happened to me.
02:55But, yeah, it's just a challenge.
02:59Because action, for me,
03:02I was a bit challenged in the preparation time for action.
03:06Because, of course, for me,
03:08I wanted to be perfect, something like that.
03:10But, of course, we were being chased by a schedule.
03:14So, we could have done better action scenes
03:17or more time to prepare.
03:20But, then again, it's just me and my head.
03:22Perfectionism.
03:23A little bit.
03:24Because, you know, the show is more drama than action.
03:28It's not like Cell Block,
03:30the one that I finished before this,
03:33that was really action-packed.
03:37It's really action-packed.
03:38There's a lot of action.
03:39And then, it's really prepared for the action scenes.
03:46So, yeah, some challenges were the travel from Manila
03:51to Tagaytay every other day.
03:53So, we were really busy.
03:55We were really busy, especially the girls.
03:58But, everything else was okay.
04:01That's how it was.
04:02That's how the shoot was.
04:03Happy.
04:04Having fun.
04:06Hold on.
04:07Again.
04:08Beginning and end.
04:10The beginning and end.
04:11Because, the beginning scene,
04:13the beginning part of the show
04:16was the one that was actually really
04:18embedded in my mind what will happen to her.
04:21And then, the last.
04:23The first ones, especially our scenes with Jodi,
04:28that I had to break her heart.
04:31With Jasmine.
04:33Because, something had to be done.
04:37Something life-changing had to be done.
04:39Not in a good way.
04:40And then, that would cost all.
04:45That was the beginning of everything.
04:47From Jasmine's life.
04:50Iris' life.
04:53And then, my life.
04:55Trying to escape that world.
04:57For me, building that world was so much fun.
05:00I was like, ah, yeah.
05:02I'm gonna cause chaos.
05:04And then, the middle part.
05:06It was okay.
05:07Of course, there's a part where I got lost.
05:09But, the last part was more of
05:11this is the combination.
05:13How do I fix everything that I've done?
05:15That was Tyrone's journey.
05:17How did he fix Jasmine?
05:19How did he fix Iris?
05:21So, one of my favorite scenes with Iris
05:24was on the cliff.
05:25He was going to shoot me
05:27because my character came back.
05:29He was going to shoot Tyrone.
05:31He was going to kill Tyrone
05:33because he ruined my life.
05:35And then,
05:37in contrast to that,
05:39the scene with Jodie
05:41on the cliff,
05:43when we were on the cliff,
05:45when I told her that
05:47we really don't have anything.
05:49Those two scenes were really
05:51different.
05:53The contrast was really thick.
05:55So, the end of the show
05:57is going to be
05:59really
06:01it will have
06:03height.
06:05That's what I'm saying.
06:07I've received a lot of slaps
06:09in my entire career.
06:11I'll never get used to getting slapped.
06:13I remember one of the
06:15most memorable
06:17slaps was from
06:19Maha Salkador.
06:21I think the power came from
06:23the left leg.
06:25It traveled to the hips.
06:27And then,
06:29it was on the shoulders.
06:31It was like this.
06:33And then,
06:35I said, she's going to be my friend.
06:37We became friends.
06:39But Jodie is really
06:41a kind person.
06:43She's very caring.
06:45You never get used to someone.
06:47You never know when it's going to come.
06:49I never tell them
06:51on this word,
06:53but
06:55subtlety was always
06:57the key
06:59for me.
07:01Especially for
07:03this show. When I started
07:05as a young actor,
07:07I had to learn
07:09how to be more like
07:11little, little, little.
07:13Up to nothing.
07:15Subtlety is like
07:17you have to master that
07:19it's hard to do
07:21because it's soap.
07:23How do you do that?
07:25Over the years, you kind of have to
07:27look for that.
07:31You have to prepare.
07:33You have to know your character very well.
