10:05of a sprained ankle,

10:06but left the arena because he reported to the team's medical staff.

10:09He was feeling sick.

10:11He didn't play the next night in Orlando or December 23rd at home in

10:14Brooklyn or December 26 in Orlando.

10:17Some team team officials began to regard Butler as somewhat AWOL.

10:21Sources said Butler size contends that he was communicating with his

10:25status through his agent,

10:26Bernie Lee and training staff.

10:28The tensions heightened as Butler social media activity picked up on the

10:3226th while Butler was playing.

10:34While the team was playing in Orlando,

10:37he was officially listed out because of illness.

10:39Butler posted a video of him playing soccer with former Manchester United

10:43star Paul Pogba.

10:52Three days later,

10:53while the team was on the road in Houston,

10:55he was officially listed as reconditioning.

10:57He posted a video of himself playing dominoes in the locker room with his

11:03Each post was seen by team officials as an affront and an attempt to make

11:06the situation more uncomfortable.

11:08Butler finally rejoined the team for practice.

11:10After missing five games,

11:11he displayed what one team official called quote as a very poor attitude,

11:15and he spent most of his time sitting in the corner.

11:18His playing comments,

11:19both after the game,

11:20after both games,

11:21he played left little doubt to his feelings.

11:31The heated had enough and Riley released a statement outlined the terms of

11:34the seven game suspension.

11:36Butler sources,

11:38sources close to him said was furious at the length of the suspension and

11:41the potential $2.3 million loss salary.

11:44Uh,

11:45the national basketball players association has filed a grievance while

11:48sponsoring the rest of the team.

11:49We're in Utah trying to avenge an embarrassing 36 point loss to the jazz

11:52Butler and Riley met to discuss the team's intentions with the suspension and

11:55fine.

11:56Sources said,

11:58Butler strongly reiterated his trade request.

12:00There had been some possibility that in the meeting,

12:03it could have resulted in a reduced suspension or,

12:05and fine for Butler sources said,

12:06but Butler would have had to show quote a lot more contrition.

12:11instead he doubled down in person with Riley and then publicly in an

12:14Instagram post hours later that showed him complimenting a barista at big

12:18face coffee in Miami saying,

12:20this is our best guy right here.

14:37Butler's health.

14:38And because Jimmy's not saying nothing,

14:40they can only come to their own conclusions.

15:17if they would have lost that Houston game and he has the Domino's in

15:20the locker room,

15:22probably reacted in a different way.

15:24Cause everybody,

15:25more people would have saw it.

15:29Like Jimmy kept doing these things,

15:30hoping that it would get noticed.

15:31But then they had the Pelican.
