01:21Italy's Lorenzo Traglio started the rally in fine fashion, capturing the lead early,

01:24but in his Nissan Patrol he again had to settle for the runner-up spot.

01:30No matter the terrain, no matter the weather, there was no stopping Carlos Santaolalla on

01:36this Dakar Classic. The Spaniard took command just after the rest day and triumphantly went

01:41on to conquer his second consecutive crown. In the final overall standing, Santaolalla wins

01:48with a 31-point lead over Traglio, a very international podium with Spaniards, Italians

01:53and Lithuanians.
