00:41but I just felt where Jadon is, how hungry he is,
00:48how he responded to what we said about him and his game
00:50and he was wanting to come here, then he's the right fit for us.

00:56Because he's only here for 20 games, isn't he?

00:59There are a lot of other young players who we looked at who age-wise were older.
01:06I just didn't feel they were close enough to us.
01:09And that's not me judging that they're going to not have as good a career as Jadon.
01:13It's just where they are right now.
01:16You can see their attributes, you can see what they've got,
01:18but look at the King One.
01:21I'd be forever frustrated at this thing that they're doing at this moment in time.
01:24This would bring us more pressure than it would give us.
01:26So Jadon, with his first-team experience and his attributes,
01:30is the closest to, like I said, coming in and having that good impact.
01:34They're coming through 18 now, aren't they?
01:36People look at that and think, wow, that's young, but that's...
01:38It's too much, but a lot of that's down to, obviously, ability, but mentality as well.
01:42He's experienced a lot from Spurs to Southampton,
01:45then he moved to Brentford, played in first-team games, played in the Premier League.
01:50So he's had minutes at top, top clubs and been in and around first-teams.
01:54You know what I mean?
01:54So it's not like you're taking an 18-year-old out of someone's 21s,
01:58which can be really false.
02:00And that jump, when you're speaking about how eye-opening a championship can be,
02:05generally it's more eye-opening if you're coming straight from the 21s to it.
02:10In terms of the level that Jadon's been playing at, he's played at a top, top level and experienced that.
02:16The physicality and how robust you have to be for the championship
