00:00PhilHealth adds more benefits and expands their health coverage for their members.

00:08PhilHealth members are set to receive more benefits

00:11as the agency increased benefits for 9,000 case rates from 30% to 50%.

00:18As we begin 2025,

00:21I'm filled with pride and gratitude

00:24for the milestones we achieved in advancing the health and well-being

00:27of the Filipino people.

00:31Last year,

00:33we made a promise

00:35to expand our coverage

00:37and prioritize the top 10 most burdensome diseases

00:40addressing the financial challenges

00:43these conditions bring

00:45to our members and their families.

00:48I'm proud to share that we delivered

00:50on this commitment.

00:51Among those receiving attention

00:53is the ischemic heart disease.

00:55According to PhilHealth,

00:56it is clear that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the country.

01:00Included in the list is pneumonia

01:02which increased from Php 15,000 to Php 29,250.

01:07For cholecystectomy,

01:09from the previous Php 40,300,

01:11package rate went up to Php 60,450.

01:16For women who give birth via cesarean section,

01:18PhilHealth now covered Php 37,050 from the previous Php 19,000.

01:25Also included in the additional PhilHealth benefits

01:27is chronic kidney disease,

01:29the fifth leading cause of death.

01:31Also added are benefits for outpatient emergency care

01:34or for those discharged from the hospital within 24 hours.

01:38Even preventive oral health services and primary care

01:41now have updated benefits.

01:43Other case rates can be found on the PhilHealth website.

01:46Of course, President BBM also mentioned

01:51in some of his statements

01:52that PhilHealth will be able to continue to provide benefits

01:58and even to expand and increase our benefits.

02:03That is why we continued to release

02:05and implement our improvements in our benefits.

02:10Some of the added benefits from PhilHealth were suggested

02:13by AgriParty's representative Wilbert Lee

02:15during the budget deliberations in Congress.

02:18Normally, our problem is that there is no fund.

02:21In this situation, there is a fund.

02:24What are we waiting for? Why can't we do this?

02:27What I cannot accept here is why is it so slow?

02:32Why is there a delay?

02:34PhilHealth is also actively working

02:36and is speeding up the payment process

02:38for its Php 4 billion backlog or debt.
