00:00Field Health launches a new benefit package for persons with disabilities or PWDs.

00:06Jana Pineda of the Philippine Information Agency, National Capital Region, has the details.

00:14In a bid to improve the access of more Filipinos to responsive healthcare services,

00:18the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation launched a new benefit package

00:22that will cater to the welfare of persons with disabilities, particularly stroke patients.

00:28The said benefit package includes coverage for assistive mobility devices such as

00:33wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes.

00:38Following the conduct of the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas together with Field Health,

00:42NCR Regional Vice President Bernadette Lico highlighted that aside from the assistive mobility device,

00:48the new benefit package will also cover the necessary assessment and therapy sessions

00:53of patients in need of the healthcare service.

00:56The rollout of the said benefit package is scheduled to begin this February in line with

01:00the 30th anniversary of Field Health and the observance of the National Health Insurance Month.

01:05Field Health is also actively encouraging health facilities to apply for Field Health accreditation

01:11in order to extend essential and accessible healthcare services to more Filipinos.

01:27We have rehabilitative care, so that's where we can enter.

01:30We just comply with what is in the law.

01:34Meanwhile, Field Health has underscored anew that the social health insurance programs

01:38of Field Health will not be reduced and instead will increase following the guarantee of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
