00:00It was a game that was played in pre-season, not, I think, probably thinking that this

00:05is not going to be a game that's actually going to get played as a competitive fixture

00:09as these things often are, because you think, okay, Leeds can play Harrogate pre-season,

00:13fair enough.

00:14Local, it's convenient for both clubs and realistically, they're not going to be rivals

00:18in a competitive fixture.

00:20And yet here we are, Leeds hosting Harrogate, of course it was Harrogate hosting Leeds in

00:25the summer.

00:27I mean, it should be a formality.

00:30You'd expect Leeds to rotate and make changes, but overall, they should have too much.

00:37I say this with a little bit of a tempered, you know, just caution a little bit just because

00:43this is the FA Cup and we all know what can happen, but realistically, they should be

00:46fine, shouldn't they?

00:47Well, they should be fine.

00:49I always like throwing you my odds for these ones when you might not have seen them before.

00:59I mean, that is, you know, I remember with the draw, it's funny, obviously, because I

01:02live in Harrogate and I had many years covering Harrogate Town at the Harrogate Advertiser

01:05and great years covering the team and it's fantastic how they've done to get themselves

01:10up to League Two.

01:12The thing everybody will say with this, well, I don't know, it's a bit different, I suppose.

01:15The thing everybody will say with this is that the League matters more and of course

01:17it does.

01:18Obviously, Leeds United getting promoted to the Premier League is the only thing that

01:20matters this season.

01:21With Harrogate Town, the main thing that matters is staying in League Two, you know, because

01:24obviously only two teams go up from the National League and they work very, very hard to get

01:28to this position.

01:29And, you know, the main thing is just stay where they are and obviously it's getting

01:32quite tight for them as well.

01:33I think that, like, while they're fifth bottom, they're 21st at the minute, fourth bottom,

01:36so they had a good win at Barrow at the weekend and stuff and, you know, that's the main thing.

01:40But, yeah, I remember when the draw came out and obviously, you know, having close connections

01:44to both teams and obviously Harrogate Town doing very well to get to the third round.

01:47I sort of said to a few people, I wonder if it'll be Leeds v Harrogate Town and of course

01:50that's what we got.

01:51And it is quite amazing, really.

01:53First ever competitive meeting between the two teams, which is not a surprise, really.

01:57But I don't think even I expected it to be quite that disparity in the odds.

02:01I mean, like, as I say, nearly 30 to 1 for Harrogate Town and 1 to 10 for Leeds.

02:06I mean, it's absolutely massive.

02:08But I mean, you can see why.

02:09I mean, the 67 places, I think it is between the two teams, it should just be a huge, huge

02:13golfing class.

02:14That said, there's no doubt about it that obviously Harrogate Town's big day out and,

02:19you know, they'll try and pull off a shock, obviously, and stuff, whereas Leeds will obviously

02:22make, you know, I mean, I don't know how many changes Daniel Farquhar will make, but it'll

02:25be a lot.

02:26You know, I don't think he'll quite make 11.

02:27He might do, but I think it'll be a lot.

02:29It's certainly been more than half a team.

02:32That said, they do have a week off afterwards again.

02:34It's not like they're playing Harrogate Town and they play again midweek.

02:37So I mean, there is a full week to sort of, like, you know, recuperate after that.

02:39So it might be a bit of a balancing act and stuff.

02:41But yeah, I mean, like, look, I mean, it should be should be an absolute formality, realistically.

02:45But I don't think it'll be like an absolute hammering.

02:47I mean, I don't think it's because I think, obviously, you know, Harrogate Town will be

02:51going for it and stuff and it'll be a fantastic atmosphere.

02:54You'll have the Leeds changes to factor in as well.

02:56You'll have the fact it's the FA Cup as well.
