00:00Almost 6,000 personnel are being deployed from various security operations

00:05for the implementation of tight security in the activity.

00:17The candle is lit, and devotees are filling the length of Fuente Osmeña Boulevard on Thursday early in the morning.

00:24Many are also bringing their images of Sr. Santo Niño, which has a different design.

00:30The rain is not random, everyone is marching together to the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.

00:39Thousands of devotees are waiting for the arrival of the carousel of the image in the Pilgrim Center,

00:45which was immediately followed by the opening of the Salvo Novena Mass.

00:55The simultaneous singing of Gozos Batu Balani Sagugma will not be missed as a thank-you to the miraculous child.

01:02According to the Cebu City Police Office,

01:04almost 160,000 people participated in the Penitential Walk and the first Mass Novena for the Church Of Christ.

01:12So far, the entire procession went peacefully.

01:16We haven't encountered anything that will pose a threat to the entire pilgrims,

01:23as well as to the peace and order of this particular religious activity.

01:28The esteemed Order of St. Augustine in the Basilica is expecting

01:33that the procession in the Pilgrim Center will be like this for all the Novena Masses until the last day of the Feast.

01:40That is why they are calling on the worshipers in the Basilica.

01:44If you want to enter the Basilica, please be patient.

01:47We discourage you to bring your own bags and camping chairs.

01:52If you wish to enter the compound of the Basilica, please be patient.

01:57You can go there, but you have to be patient.

02:01Aside from the religious activities,

02:04tourists are also expected to participate in the cultural activities

02:08where security personnel are deployed for security and crowd control.
