52% of people have lost trust in the police

A recent YouGov survey suggests 52% of people have lost trust in the police. Does this surprise you, and what do you think could be done to improve the police’s image and rebuild trust?

00:00It doesn't know because, to be quite honest, the police aren't doing what they're supposed to be doing.

00:05The police are picking on the wrong ones, the police are picking on the most vulnerable ones.

00:09Suppose if the services could open the doors for the police to go into, work with them with the services,

00:15because that's what's needed now, isn't it, the services.

00:18So put the services together, the firemen, the police, social services, everything's changing. Get them all together.

00:25Because of what this last government's done really, isn't it, the Conservatives didn't give enough police to go on the streets and that.

00:32The point is they're all in cars now and years ago you used to see loads of policemen on the beat, now you don't see any on the beat.

00:42They used to have police forums once where people could go, once a month people could go and they could voice their opinions,

00:49they could voice their concerns to the police and whatever, and they stopped all them.

00:54Hopefully Labour get more police going round and that's what they need, more police.
