00:00The Venezuelan foreign ministry issued a communique to announce the breaking of diplomatic relations
00:05with the Republic of Paraguay.
00:08The document assured that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela categorically rejects the statements
00:13of the President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, who disregarded international law as a principle
00:19of non-intervention, fell again into the failed practice reminiscent of the political fantasies
00:27of the defunct Lima Group with its ridiculous adventures called White Dome.
00:36In the statement, the ministry assured,
00:38These actions are a repetition of strategies without political, legal or social support,
00:44which have demonstrated their result in failure.
00:47It is regrettable that governments such as Paraguay continue to subordinate their foreign
00:53policy to the interests of foreign powers, promoting agendas aimed at undermining democratic
00:59principles and the will of the free peoples.
01:02In this context, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has decided, in full exercise of
01:06its sovereignty, to break diplomatic relations with the Republic of Paraguay and to proceed
01:11to the immediate withdrawal of its political personnel accredited in that country.
01:16The communique ends.
01:17The Bolivarian government reiterates its commitment to the defense of democracy, peace and self-determination
01:25of the peoples, essential principles of the United Nations, and reaffirms that no tricks
01:32orchestrated by international fascism will be able to bend the will of the people determined
01:37to build its own destiny.
