00:00I want to talk to you about this guy and what he did this year and that's Bryce Young because Bryce Young was absolutely

00:07Left for dead like finish like he's not good. He was the number one overall pick. He's out

00:11He's not gonna be a good quarterback and what he did over the second half of the season and he was Joe

00:17He was so into it yesterday. He did the

00:19Like the Lamar thing from Saturday the curry like no look he's throwing touchdown passes and looking at the sideline

00:25Smiling and celebrating with people and I think this guy gets the credit for it

00:30Canales had a little bit of a rough start the first couple months

00:33I know they only won five games, but it seems like they've got a future with Bryce Young now

00:38It's huge. You know, it's it's a great feeling

00:41You know, it's it allows us to just look at the whole roster, you know to see where what the what the investments need to

00:48be, you know it it helps us to think about free agency in the draft with the lens knowing we got our guy and

00:54And now we can just build this team with the right mentality

00:58And just you know find the guys that that that can come in and challenge our roster like we planned on doing every year

01:03And I and I think they do have it Joe and I and I think that some it's just another example that

01:11sometimes we rush these guys a

01:13Little too much and sometimes all guys do need to do is sit back for a while

01:19Some fan bases and ownership groups don't have the patience for it

01:23but sometimes if you let a guy sit and

01:26Look at the game on the NFL level for an extended period like they did in the middle this year and let Andy Dalton play

01:33Look at the results came back after Joe now

01:36They could sit there like they've just said and they can go into their offseason knowing we have our quarterback now

01:42We can build around him

01:45Yeah, and it

01:47Another team that did it, right?

01:49And I'm not saying Carolina did it right by the way, I think Carolina

01:53You know, they had to go out and get the right coach to see if this guy was even salvageable

02:00Without absolutely destroying him above the shoulders

02:03But listen, tell me how this is any different than what we saw last year with Jordan love

02:09who the last six games of the year might have been the greatest five six game stretch a

02:15Quarterback has had in a very long time which got him the contract extension

02:20Which now all of a sudden there's no question that the Packers have their franchise quarterback

02:25I think we're seeing that now with Bryce young it took him a little less time than it took Jordan love

02:32But hey, you know sitting behind and and figuring it out being benched for Andy Dalton

02:38We may look back at this and be like that might have been the greatest thing ever to happen to Bryce young. I

02:44Think if he plays like that next year, they're moving up another rung

02:48They're gonna be a seven to nine win team and then they can take another step even further than that

02:53As they continue to go forward sometimes there are different ways to develop quarterbacks in the NFL
