Colombia’s ‘living pictures’ tradition joins UNESCO tangible heritage list

The Colombian tradition of 'living pictures', in which the participants recreate motionless artistic scenes for hours as though frozen in time, returns to the streets of Galeras as is tradition every January. 'Living pictures' was declared intangible culture heritage by UNESCO in December.
