00:00PAS' rally in solidarity with former Prime Minister Najib Razak on Monday will proceed

00:07as planned, says the party's Secretary-General, Takiuddin Hassan.

00:12Takiuddin stressed that the rally serves solely to defend the young di-Pertuan Agung's prerogative

00:16powers from manipulation and lack of transparency, while supporting all lawful efforts by Najib

00:22to seek justice.

00:25Takiuddin added that the Islamic Party fully respects and supports all legal processes

00:30and procedures related to clemency, which are overseen by the Federal Territories Pardons

00:35Board, chaired by the young di-Pertuan Agung.

00:38Yesterday, PAS Information Chief Ahmad Fadli Shari said Malaysians have the constitutional

00:43right to assemble as long as there are no elements of provocation that violate the law.

00:50His comments came as UMNO announced it was pulling out of the rally following a statement

00:54by Istana Negara and the call by police for the public not to take part in the rally.
