00:00It's our first game on New Year's Day is the Peach Bowl between the champions of the Big

00:08Twelve, that's Arizona State, and the champions of the Big Twelve a season ago, that is Texas.

00:14The largest spread of the quarterfinal round in favor of our national championship favorites

00:19in the Longhorns.

00:20And Kevin was the largest spread in the opening round in favor of Texas as well, 13 and a

00:26half points.

00:27The Longhorns covered that.

00:29So they do the same against the Sun Devils.

00:31I'm not sure yet, honest with you.

00:33This to me is the big takeaway.

00:35I know it might get an, how bad is this format?

00:39I mean, it's so atrocious.

00:41This should not be a thing.

00:44One of the things of, oh, we had some tough round one matchups is, yeah, but those teams

00:47are all gone.

00:48Yeah.

00:49And then you still have Arizona State sitting here.

00:51And maybe they can pull off a stunner lease.

00:53It's tough to tell.

00:54It really is, because the Arizona State sample size is all within the Big Twelve.

01:00And nobody's crazy enough to argue the Big Twelve is as good as the SEC, despite the

01:04fact that we hear more SEC slander than any conference all season long, which is a very

01:08odd thing, again, to do.

01:11I'm torn as we sit here right now on this football game.

01:15It's a lot of points, but I'm not sure it's too many.

01:17No, it's not.

01:18And it's Texas, right?

01:19So Texas does get that, I want to say premium built into the market, because again, they

01:23are looked at as one of the best teams in the country.

01:26To your point, they have the best odds to win the national championship.

01:29But again, I look at the contrast in styles, the way they would attack this game.

01:34And I just think Arizona State is built to go toe-to-toe with Texas in the interior.

01:40And the reason why I say that, this team has won six straight.

01:42Dillingham is a great game planner.

01:44Again, he has really coached this team up.

01:46He's found the weaknesses in opposing defenses.

01:49He's exploited those in big matchups.

01:52And they have a running back in Cam Scatterboo that is an absolute battering ram.

01:56And they're going to force Texas to come up and run support.

01:59And I know they've done that through much of the regular season.

02:02But you look at the games against Georgia, with the game on the line, Georgia was able

02:06to run the football.

02:07Did they run it for 200?

02:08No.

02:09But they didn't have a running back that goes about 255 pounds and is very low to the ground.

02:14And they're going to feed him the rock 25 to 30 times in terms of this matchup.

02:18If Arizona State strikes first, I think they're going to be in this ballgame.

02:22Again, 13 and a half seems like a blowout.

02:24I just think that this game trends under.

02:27I like Arizona State a lot in terms of all the sides.

02:30This is the one game where I think Texas could be up against it.

02:33This is the game that I actually think of our double-digit spreads in the quarterfinal

02:37round is going to be the closest.

02:39And Cam Scatterboo is the key.

02:42180 scrimmage yards at least for ASU in 7 of 12 games he has played this year.

02:48This allowed 336 passing yards to Cade Klubnick, who was the best passing defense in the country

02:54entering the opening round of the college football playoff.

02:57Not nearly as good defending the rush this year.
