00:00When it comes to gift-giving in your family, how does that go, you know?

00:05It's really hard, it's really hard to get gifts for my family during the holiday season

00:10because everybody's birthday is in December.

00:13My sister's birthday is December 23rd, you know, she's my mom's stylist, so I gotta figure

00:17out what type of fashionista thing that she'd like.

00:21My mom's birthday is December 30th, so it's like, and this is all like right in between

00:26Christmas.

00:27So, yeah, it's very difficult to find, I'm literally in the process of doing it right

00:31now.

00:32What was like the one gift you got your mom one year where she was like, it actually surprised

00:36her, you know?

00:38I think the one gift that I gave her, shoot, was probably booking this TV role.

00:46I think when I, because I told her, I didn't, I told her that, I didn't tell her that I

00:53had booked the role.

00:55And so, when I told her, it was kind of like after the fact, when we were on our way to

01:00Jamaica to get married, so she didn't know.

01:04But now that she does know, I think it's a great Christmas gift.

01:07So she was pretty shocked?

01:08Yeah, she was very shocked.

01:09She was super duper shocked.

01:10Did you get like any advice from her, like, you know, before filming?

01:14So she didn't give me any advice before filming because she didn't know that I was shooting

01:18it.

01:19Oh, the movie was already complete?

01:20Yeah, the movie was already complete.

01:22Oh, you filmed the whole movie without telling your mom?

01:23Yeah, I filmed the whole movie without telling my mom, yeah.

01:26I wanted her to know that I was serious about it.

01:28I wanted her to know that, like, I didn't choose acting because of her.

01:32Like, my mom has always been my inspiration, but she could only be the one to push me and

01:39uplift me in my work.

01:41But yeah, my mom has always just pushed me to be the best version of myself.

01:45So I think that's the advice that she would give me.

01:47What was, you know, like, the best gift your mom ever got you for Christmas?

01:51The best gift that my mom has ever given me has been love.

01:55You know, I think I've been through some really difficult times in my life, and my mom has

02:00always been a huge supporter.

02:03She's always been there for me.

02:05And she's always just been an amazing presence in my life.

02:08And I think that's just the best gift that she could give me is her love and her presence.
