The town of Hendaye is located in the French part of the Basque Country, as the other side of the river, which separates it from Hondarribia, is already in Spain. The 3-kilometre-long sandy beach delights families and surfers alike, and the typical Basque architecture has its origins in the famous neo-Basque style.
