The weather held just long enough for the walk in Shrewsbury Quarry Park. The annual Christmas Sausage dog walk was like a festive fashion show for the our little four legged friends.

00:10It's just a chance for everybody to get together, enjoy walking with all the dogs, let the dogs

00:16socialise a little bit, it often brings on some of the timid ones when they see a whole

00:20load of their own kind, and they relax a little bit more, so it's great, it's popular as you

00:27can see, I think we had about 60 dogs today, but we can have up to 100.

00:34So yeah, because you had to cancel the other week because of the weather.

00:36Yeah, because it was the rain and the very high winds, and of course the bottom of the

00:41quarry flooded, so we had to cancel.

00:43Yeah, I mean, is it just me, or have doggy outfits really stepped up this year?

00:48They're getting bigger and better, aren't they?

00:50Some people make their own, some people plan it for months.

00:55Yeah, I didn't realise, but like you just touched upon there, Atti, as well as just

00:59being enjoyable for the owners, a lot of these dogs can be quite timid, have a bit of anxiety

01:04issues, so it's really good for the dogs, isn't it?

01:06Like socialising and stuff.

01:08Yeah, socialising, yeah.

01:09And we get some siblings who aren't dashers as well, joining in.

01:14So is it an annual fixture now then?

01:16Is it properly set in the calendar?

01:18We do four a year, which is Halloween, Christmas, and then we do a spring one and a summer one.
