Hundreds of Santa-clad sausage dogs trotted through the heart of London this weekend, turning the capital’s streets into a festive spectacle and drawing delighted crowds of onlookers armed with phones, smiles and plenty of “awws”.The annual Santa Sausage Dog Walk, now a firm favourite in the city’s festive calendar, saw dachshunds of all shapes, sizes and coat colours don tiny red jackets, Santa hats and even full Father Christmas outfits as they waddled their way past some of London’s most recognisable landmarks. From long-haired and smooth-coated to miniature and standard, the parade was a joyful celebration of one of the UK’s most beloved dog breeds.
