00:00You're fighting the Marine who's obviously a tough dude a formidable

00:06opponent another guy you know we talked about Danny Chris you beat him and then

00:10he had to go fight Dave Mundell. Marine has beat has lost to Mundell now you get

00:14to fight him so it's gone the opposite way here what are you looking at with

00:18this fight do you think honestly that no disrespect to him but he was off for a

00:21year comes back fights once now fighting for the title do you think he deserves

00:25his chance at your belt and what are you expecting when you go against him this

00:28coming weekend? You know I don't know exactly how people look at it on paper

00:34as far as if he deserves it you know for the circumstances you just said but a

00:40couple things is one he's the only one in the top five that I haven't

00:44fought before and you know rematches get a little boring sometimes to me but he I

00:53don't see big like I think right now they might have ranked third you know

00:56the rankings are always kind of all over the place but I do think that he

01:00is you know the toughest dude in the top five so I do think he deserves this

01:06fight I'm glad that they offered it to him I'm glad they offered it to me you

01:11know I asked for it because I think he is one of the toughest dudes out there

01:15I've had nothing but but tough opponents I'm not looking for any easy fights you

01:21know you never get any any shorter or long-term credit when you when you fight

01:25a you know the the gimme's and the tomato cans and stuff and you know I

01:30don't I don't think once you get towards the top that there's many of those

01:33anyways but ultimately yeah I think he deserves it and I'm glad that it that's

01:40going down now obviously you're gonna have a big advantage in height and reach

01:46now how important is that for you to make sure to utilize that to avoid the

01:49big power shots that he can throw in a fight yeah I mean I know I'm taller and

01:55longer than him but you know I got a lot of power too so if whether it goes on

02:03the inside of the outside you know I can do damage from both you know it just

02:08gives me it gives me a chance if I do want to use my reach you know to kind of

02:15play that angle but he's probably thinking that if he smothers me and

02:20gets it gets in my face that that it'll be an advantage from him but I feel

02:25plenty comfortable on the inside as well so whatever way we end up pushing it is

02:31I'm happy to go that way and of course you have a great team behind you at

02:37shift you know you guys have you know shown how strong you are in the

02:40bare-knuckle fight game especially with you know both you and Davis champions

02:45and I'm sure you get a little extra insight from him having fought Mike

02:48before I'm sure that helps but you know you're gonna fight your own game as well

02:51we're looking forward to it should be an awesome fight can't wait to watch it

02:54everyone should make sure they check it out on the zone this weekend you verse

02:57the Marine Richmond for the light heavyweight title you talked about that

03:00top five in the division how you fought all these guys before you know how it's

03:04kind of a just a rehash for a lot of them no is there anybody that you're

03:08looking at for the future if you defend this title you know anybody that you

03:11have on your hit list and you know what is your plans for 2024 you know in 2022

03:15a lot more active with four fights kind of two three fights the last couple years

03:19but of course when you're waiting for title fights or you are the champion you

03:22know that can slow things down sometimes what's your outlook for 2025 is it you

03:26know just go right back through the top five that you fought before is it maybe

03:30even challenge a different division what are you looking for in the new year um

03:34couple things you know if you know I don't want to just throw Mike Perry out

03:38there just because he is kind of a name but I brought him up several times he

03:43brought me up once a while back in the interview I like and respect the guy if

03:47that's a possibility I would love that fight you know I don't I don't know what

03:51BKFC has planned for him yet so that's always been a big maybe on my mind like

03:59I'd be happy that that comes to fruition but otherwise I gotta say I'm

04:04very like and excited to hear the details on this this big money

04:13tournament that you know president Feldman has been talking about you know

04:18he threw the he threw the teasers out there and he said the details are coming

04:22soon I'm kind of guessing that he might he might release it the night of my

04:27fight you know it being the last fight of the year but either way whatever the

04:32details are whatever the the you know what are the rules are gonna be I want

04:38to be a part of that you know I mean so I'm excited to see where that where that

04:42goes
