00:00Jamal, big news this week for British and English basketball with the unlocking of UK

00:12sport funding, how did you receive that news?

00:14Yeah, welcomed it very much so. That money can be used to make so many new opportunities

00:19for players that are coming up in 3x3 or 5v5, so yeah, it's exciting times.

00:24And as a Commonwealth Games gold medallist in 3x3, what are the benefits of that game?

00:28Yeah, I mean, I would like to have another Commonwealth Games medal and I'm sure there's

00:32a lot of kids that are growing up in basketball right now that would like that opportunity,

00:35so that money can really facilitate that and allow them to grow as basketball players.

00:40Where do you see the game being in, say, 10 years' time with this money and the growth

00:44in participation we've seen?

00:46Yeah, again, it comes back to those opportunities. The more players that get to play basketball,

00:50whether it be in school or college, hopefully find a dream like I did and have a career

00:55and play abroad and in Europe, so that money can really just ensure that more players that

00:59want to play basketball have that opportunity.
