00:00How big a decision was it for you this summer to make the move back?

00:10It was big.

00:11It was a big decision.

00:12I had a couple of other offers in some other places, but this felt like home, man.

00:15So I had to come back.

00:17The fans, Coach and Super, Sarah, I just appreciate them for the opportunity to come back and

00:22kind of build on the end of the season last year and start, you know, get a fresh start.

00:27A lot of momentum at the end of last season.

00:29Some great nights here in the Cannon Medical Arena.

00:32How much of a part did that play in convincing you to come back?

00:35Huge.

00:36The fans were huge.

00:37I had fans messaging me all summer, like, I hope you're coming back.

00:41Please come back.

00:42Please come back.

00:43So coming back, it wasn't the easiest decision, but it was the easiest decision in most summers.

00:49You're a player that feeds off the crowd, but also gives that crowd energy.

00:53Is that important for you?

00:54100 percent.

00:55Just, I mean, the fans are just as important as we are out there playing the game at the

01:00end of the day.

01:01We couldn't do what we do without this place being packed, rocking on Friday nights, Saturday

01:06nights, Sunday nights.

01:08We couldn't do what we do without the fans' support.

01:10So it's an amazing part of what we got going, you know.

01:14Some teams in this league don't have the type of atmosphere that we have here, so we're

01:17blessed to be able to play in an arena like this in front of fans like Sparks fans.

01:22How much of a better footing are you on this year, having had a pre-season with the Sharks,

01:25whereas you came in like mid-season, didn't you?

01:28Yeah, actually it took a while, you know, to get my footing down, but this pre-season

01:32has been good.

01:33The team got out to Spain for a little bit, played some really good teams out there.

01:38So for me, myself, it's been good to just get in the flow early and to get the mid-shots,

01:43the turnovers out now, and then we hit the ground running on Friday.

01:47Are you going to have an enhanced role this year?

01:50Because people know who you are now, Atiba knows what you can do.

01:53I wouldn't say enhanced.

01:54I would just say I've got to go out there and be me, be who I am, whether that's nine

02:00points a game, ten points a game, whether that's singles, you know, whatever the role

02:05may be.

02:06I'm going to play for my team defensively, offensively, be a leadership role.

02:11More leadership role this year than a little bit last year, kind of help ride and bend

02:14it out with the leadership part of it.

02:16We only got four returning guys from a team that had a lot of returning guys last year.

02:22So from that standpoint, yes, from a basketball standpoint, I'll just do whatever it takes

02:26for us to win basketball games.

02:27I think it would be nice to get some silverware in.

02:29All right, man, we got four chances, right?

02:30We got four chances this year, so might as well get all four if we can.
