00:00So Sophie, how long have you been performing as Demi Winehouse?

00:02I literally started in September, not very long at all.

00:06I came into the demo room literally with an open mind.

00:11I didn't need to know that I was going to be the Demi Winehouse tribute.

00:14I sang a couple of songs, we realised I do sound a little bit like her.

00:19And the demo room literally helped me out with everything I need to know.

00:23All my microphones, speakers, mixing desk, everything, I got it from here.

00:28When you walk in the bar

00:31And you dress like a star

00:34Rocking over your lovely palms

00:38And a man noticed you

00:40With your Gucci bag through

00:43I think what it is about her that pierces me

00:46is every single thing she wrote, it came from somewhere.

00:49It wasn't just random words that were flowing into her brain.

00:52I've watched all her documentaries and her films and everything

00:57And she always said she wouldn't write music if it wasn't coming from somewhere.

01:02And that's what makes me like her a lot.

01:05And I just think she's a very pure soul.

01:07And what sort of reaction have you had?

01:09It's been a good reaction.

01:11I don't think I've had anyone negative really.

01:14Where I've been singing everywhere in Hartlepool

01:17I'm going to be singing out of town a lot next year.

01:20The reaction's been really good and very positive.

01:23So I'm happy with it, yeah.
